– Communication doesn’t work on bullies. Telling a bully they’re making you feel bad is the wrong way to go. They want to make you feel bad. That’s the point.
– being kind to a bully doesn’t always mean they’ll stop. Sometimes it means they’ll just use your kindness to manipulate you while still continuing to bully you.
– not every bully has a sympathetically tragic home life. Sometimes people are just mean. Sometimes people just get off on hurting others.
– on that note, a tough home life is a reason, not an excuse. You don’t have to put up with bullying because somebody’s life sucks, just like you don’t have to let someone mug you because they’re broke.
– in order to forgive someone, they have to apologize first. If your bully has not apologized to you, you do not owe them anything.
– getting bullied as a kid can still mess you up in adult life. Maybe kids grow out of being bullies, but the marks they left often don’t go away.
– there are ways to get people to stop bullying you, but they almost all involve being mean back.
– as long as parents keep raising shitty bullying kids, there will be bullies. No amount of assemblies and hand-drawn posters will fix the problem. It’s the parents’ fault.
– It’s not your responsibility to fix your bully or to stop the abuse they send your way, but some adults sure will act like it is.

Bullies will sometimes accuse you of bullying them if you speak up. This doesn’t mean you did anything wrong.
– Authority figures will often believe bullies when the issue gets raised, because childhood bullying often (read: almost always) correlates to broader societal prejudices. If a child is developmentally and/or physically disabled, lgbt+, POC, poor etc, then they’re more likely to be bullied by their peers and more likely to be seen as a troublemaker and/or a liar by authority figures
– If the bullying continues after the usual methods of punishment and/or mediation between the bully and their victim have occurred, blame will often shift to the victim who isn’t trying hard enough to not be bullied
– make sure to be firm with your facts, because authority figures will tend to want to gaslight you (like they did me) into thinking the bullying wasn’t that bad and you’re just inflating things. no, this is what happened, they don’t get to decide that your complaints aren’t valid.
we need conversion therapy to be illegal. we need parents to go to jail for doing this to their children. we need providers of conversion therapy to go to jail for offering a service that abuses and kills lgbt people. conversion therapy is a hate crime.

Don’t have spoons for long explanation – also this is only speaking for christianity – but religion has been a force of oppression for women, people of color, and lgbt+ people and the rejection of the religion is often coupled with the rejection of how religion treats them.
I’ll also say that abuse survivors are included in this because it is a reaction to and an attempt to reconcile how (christian) god would allow abuse to happen.
For straight white men atheism is usually rooted in intellectual and rational superiority complexes. It’s a “i am more rational and intelligent than you, how can you believe in something so obviously fake” thing as opposed to a reaction to a societal institution that upholds their oppression and abuse.
Women, PoC, Queer people, immigrants, trauma survivors, etc: How can I believe in something that teaches you to be cruel? How can I trust the books that tell me of peace and love, when you use your faith to hurt me? How can a loving god allow [insert injustice of the day]?

It has come to my attention that there are quite a few solutions or “Potions” being sold that contain Datura or Brumansia, more often than not, these potions claim to “”open your third eye”” or some dumb shit like that.

It is a toxic flower that, when ingested can cause paralysis of smooth muscles, confusion, tachycardia(increased heat rate), dry mouth, diarrhea, migraine headaches, visual and auditory hallucinations, mydriasis (pupil dilation), rapid onset cycloplegia, and death. It is not a plant to be taken lightly, and especially one to just make available to the public.
Now I grow Datura myself, it’s a really stunning tree, but as a precaution, I tag every flower to ensure none go missing from people trying to brew the tea themselves. I’ve seen the effects it has and it is horrendous to watch, so PLEASE AVOID PRODUCTS WITH DATURA

–Bragged about her family having a slave, but it being okay because they’re not white and it’s normal in their part of the world (I’M SERIOUS) and saying she’d “raise awareness” about it
–offered “life advice” to the tune of something like $30 a pop, but never actually followed through, after collecting only G-d knows how much money

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Ron give permission for reposts (I’ve bought from them in person and I think they speak enough English to understand requests), I don’t know anything about Absolum so I can’t confirm their permission status but their “credit” isn’t even linked, and @rex-clypeus posted that pic on their own damn tumblr already (the version in the picture links to a repost THAT HAS MORE NOTES THAN THE ORIGINAL).
Reposters only exist because people keep giving them notes and followers and validation. Block them and call out their bullshit when you see it. Unfortunately only the original artist can report a blog for this sort of thing but if the rest of us ignore them, they’ll get bored and stop thieving from hardworking artists.
