Mikorei Week 2017!

mikorei-week:

Hello everyone! I bring you the prompts for this year’s Mikoreiweek!

The overall theme will be Language of Flowers.

WHEN WILL MIKOREIWEEK START?

Mikoreiweek will be held on September 25 (that will be a Monday) up to October 1, 2017, but if you are busy, don’t worry, you can still submit on October 2 up to October 8! That will be the late submissions week.

WHAT CAN YOU SUBMIT?

1. You can submit fanfics, fanarts, playlists, edits, cosplay, comics, whatever you like, provided that the submissions are related to the theme(s) and revolves around our favourite pair, Mikorei.

2. You can submit any type of work provided that you put the necessary warnings. We don’t want anyone to get triggered all right? If it is an art or a comic that has dubious consent and the like, of course it is imperative that you have to make use of a text post so that the people who are uncomfortable with stuff like that can’t view the whole of your submission, and that the people that are fine with it can bask in the brilliance and the sin of your work.

GUIDELINES

1. Tag your work with mikoreiweek2017 with no space in between.

2. It is entirely up to you how you interpret each theme. Be as creative as you can be! Which means the setting of your work can be an AU or in canon verse. Reishi and Mikoto can be in a romantic relationship or can just be friends/rivals or whatever. You can twist each theme to suit your purpose. There’s no stopping you, so pull out those artistic juices.

3. The themes are the meaning or meanings of each flower featured on a day. If there are two meanings for a flower as specified, you can choose either or if you wish you can incorporate each meaning in your work.

That being said, the featured flower for a particular day need not be the focus of your submission, but if you wish, you can submit a work that gives it a slight amount of focus, or none at all. It can also be the sole focus of your submission. Like, if you wish to submit a fanart/edit you can  create mikorei + the particular flower, that is acceptable.

THEMES

– Day 1 – Monday, September 25

 Tulip – Fascination.

– Day 2 – Tuesday, September 26

Amaryllis – Pride/timidity

sarumifest:

It’s that time of year again – Sarumi Fest time! Our 2017 event will begin in just a little over a month!

For those who are new to the event, this will be one week where we all try to post as many Sarumi/Misaru fanworks as possible. The event is centered around July the 7th, or 7/7 (the combination of their birthdays – 7/20 for Misaki and 11/7 for Saruhiko, so 7/7 for Sarumi Fest). Here you can find a list with all the entries from last year’s Sarumi Fest.

There will be a lottery with prizes like doujinshi, fanart, and more! Winners will be chosen by random, but the more posts you make, the more slots you gain, thus your chance of winning rises! Please keep an eye out for a post with more details about the available prizes closer to the start of the event!

To submit a work for Sarumi Fest 2017:

Post your fanwork on tumblr using the tag #sarumi fest 2017 during the time frame of July 7, 2017 to July 14, 2017 (inclusive).

Rules for entries:

  • All of your fanworks must be your own original stuff or scanlations/scans/editing. Reposting won’t count. If you’re not sure whether something counts as a valid fanwork, send us an ask and we’ll let you know.
  • The fanworks must be newly created for the fest, and not works that have already been posted, on tumblr or elsewhere.
  • Any fanart or comics taken from pixiv/twitter/etc for use in your entry must include a source and you must have permission from the artist to use it
  • Your fanwork must be about Yata and Fushimi, Sarumi or Misaru
  • If you do not wish to receive a message or an ask in the event that you win a prize, please provide an alternate contact method, either on your post or privately via our ask box with a reference to your entry.
  • Sarumi Fest will last from July 7 to July 14
  • Don’t forget to tag your posts with #sarumi fest 2017

We also have some fun new things this year:

  • We will have themes for each day, so please check those out and plan your entries!
  • We have prepared a special header and footer to add to the spirit of the fest – it’s not a requirement, but we encourage everyone to use them on your entry posts. More will be posted about this later!

We will be opening the sarumifest blog for submissions during the fest timeline. If you do not have a tumblr or you wish to make an anonymous entry, you can use the /submit url to make your entry.

Rules for submissions to the sarumifest blog:

  • The above rules must be followed
  • You must include a method of contact  in case you win a prize (email, twitter, line, etc)
  • Please clarify if you would like us to remove your contact info before posting your submission

Submissions will open at the start of the fest.

The goal of the event is to have fun and get some fanworks posted, to show our love for Sarumi/Misaru! There’s no obligation to participate or anything, so please don’t feel pressured if you’re busy. Hopefully we can all have a good time with this!

Please send any questions through the ask box on this blog, and reblog to spread the word if you can!

Thanks, all!

Title: 嘘吐きドロップ | Liar Drops
Circle:
Quartierlatin
Artist: 和紙
Original scans: brynne-lagaao
Pairing/Characters: Yata Misaki/Fushimi Saruhiko
Summary:  Hit by a strain’s powers, Fushimi develops a condition where tears would fall everytime he tells a lie. To be cured, Fushimi needs to speak truthfully to the person he most wishes to be honest to. A relatively light-hearted story.

The artist labelled it as Misaru, but it’s not too obvious actually. A cute read with crying Fushimi!

Again, much thanks to @mgqr for editing and typesetting as well as @brynne-lagaao for allowing us to use this scan.

Feel free to reblog.

AU where Fushimi runs a radio advice column or is like a DJ that has a smooth voice and helps callers who call in with their love lives, plays specific songs per the caller’s request. But off air he’s the grumpiest person ever. Munakata calls in because recently his boyfriend Mikoto passed away and what should he do now. He ends up calling Fushimi often until Fushimi becomes sort of interested (or cares?) about him. Like Sleepless in Seattle, sort of.

ridiasfangirlings:

Fushimi as the grumpiest advice DJ ever would be hilarious, like
maybe he’s not even supposed to be the one who’s doing this, he was
an intern at the radio station and they were trying to debut this new
advice hour but the DJ who was intended to be the host backs out like
two minutes before the show was to go on the air. The station head is
desperate to find a replacement and hears Fushimi berating one of his
fellow interns for messing something up, the station head recognizes
immediately that Fushimi has a voice made for radio and makes him the
temporary host. Fushimi’s like wait what the fuck but he’s assured
that all he has to do is play songs that people request and listen to
them talk about their problems for an hour and then they’ll find
someone new to take over. Fushimi is still not thrilled about this
because he doesn’t want to hear a bunch of sad sacks calling him
about their worthless love lives but he’s promised a bonus and
anything that gets him out of having to work his shitty unpaid
internship sooner the better works. When the first show begins all
the people in charge at the station are just beside themselves in
misery because Fushimi is the biggest asshole ever, he’s mocking
people who call in and being all dryly sarcastic and okay yes he’s
playing relevant songs but he’s such an asshole. They’re then
absolutely shocked to learn Fushimi got great ratings and the amount
of listeners increased steadily over the whole hour, turns out that
while Fushimi’s advice is blunt and unsympathetic it’s actually
pretty good and people liked hearing someone who would tell, say, a
tearful caller asking for help because they cheated on their
boyfriend that ‘maybe you should have thought of that before you
cheated, moron.’

Fushimi’s show is pushed to a late night slow where he can swear
freely at idiots if he wants to and he quickly becomes one of the
most popular DJs on the radio, his voice is oddly soothing even when
he’s berating people, he’s great at picking out the right song for
any given situation and he even gives out decent advice from time to
time. One day he gets a call from a deep voiced man who calls himself
Royal in Shizume, who tells Fushimi that his boyfriend recently
committed suicide and that he’s not sure where to go from here, he’s
tried bonding with his coworkers and he’s tried burying himself in
his work but neither one seems conducive to moving on. As they talk
it becomes clear that the caller hasn’t been actually grieving at
all, just walking around acting like everything’s fine, and Fushimi
clicks his tongue and tells Royal that’s what his problem is, like
maybe instead of acting like nothing can fucking touch you you
actually allow yourself to feel the loss and then move on from it. On
the other side of the city Munakata is surprised to find that the
radio DJ he called on a whim has been more honest with him than just
about anyone else in his life, all Munakata’s friends and coworkers
have been treating him gently and dancing around the subject of
Mikoto’s death but Fushimi is the first one to just say what Munakata
needs to hear rather than what he wants to hear.

After that Munakata ends up taking some time off for himself,
visiting Mikoto’s grave and letting his usually impenetrable regal
mask break and just having a good cry and yelling at Mikoto for
leaving him like this. He feels considerably better afterward and
decides that clearly the proper thing to do would be to call the
radio DJ and thank him. Fushimi meanwhile has never been thanked
for his advice in his life, most of his callers hang up pissed
and it just gets reported on social media and forum posts that the
advice did actually work. Munakata’s the first one to praise Fushimi
for his skills at analyzing the situation and offering his best
suggestion and Fushimi doesn’t even really know how to take it, this
acknowledgment that he truly did help someone. After that Munakata
finds himself calling in from time to time to ask advice about
finding a hypothetical rebound boyfriend because he just enjoys
talking with Fushimi. The radio station doesn’t mind this repeat
caller as it actually makes the popularity of Fushimi’s show explode,
because the public so ships it. Everyone except Fushimi seems
to have realized that Munakata has a thing for Fushimi and is just
calling for excuses to talk to him, meanwhile Fushimi’s always
finding himself looking forward to Munakata’s calls and getting
annoyed at himself it, like it’s not as if Munakata would have any
interest in him if they met face to face anyway. Then Munakata calls
one day and suggests he and Fushimi meet face to face on Valentine’s
Day and poor Fushimi has a total crisis because he wants to meet
Munakata but he also has no faith at all that Munakata actually wants
to meet him, Fushimi’s certain that this all must be some elaborate
joke and everything will come crashing down if he dares to actually
show up.
