brigid tenenbaum is the most human character in the entire bioshock series probably. her character development is done better than everybody and tbh i dont even think my buddy ken even realized he was doing it but she changes like a real person does. i mean after that initial realization that what shes doing to the little sisters was horrifying and she lapses into self disgust and hatred but then pulls herself out enough to try to fix her mistakes and that right there is among the most powerful things in the whole game. and nobody really talks about the difference between bs1 tenenbaum and bs2 tenenbaum, which is a whole world of change. in bs1 she’s almost just as scary and obscure as the villains (4 lack of a better word) are, but in bs2 she’s just tired and angry but still not giving up, and you can see the weight of her fear and regret pulling on her but in a different way, and she correspondingly shows the same resilience in putting the girls safety before her own and doing everything she can to get them out, its the realest thing I’ve ever seen told in a story, how people change but the core parts of them stay the same because those core parts are what keep them and the people around them alive. also, in case you couldn’t tell, i love brigid tenenbaum,

My friend Alan has been in my life for three amazing years. Recently, his own life has faced a drastic downturn. From an ex-friend stealing an overwhelming amount of his belongings, to other ex-friends pushing him out of their apartment, this year he may very well become homeless.
I cannot take him into my home, a toxic situation that I am working on my own time to escape from, and all other friends of ours are unable to assist either.
Making this donation page was our last resort. Neither of us want to see him have to default on his own toxic family situation. Right now, he’s currently living in a low-cost motel, trying to find work. He can’t continue like this for much longer. Shelters and LGBT centers in the Orlando area haven’t been enough help, and low quality apartments have been too shady to trust.
We ask for no messages with tips. We’ve tried everything else. Please be respectful to the fact that we made this page as a last resort after almost two months of trying everything else.
I am willing to take on writing commissions and drawing commissions based on the amount donated. Our current goal is $1,400 and I realize that means almost a hundred pieces of art that I will be making for less than minimum wage. I don’t mind this.
For starting at $15, I will take on writing commissions for a few select fandoms. I would do more, but I want to provide you with quality work. So I’m only taking on requests in those fandoms I know enough about/have experience in writing.

– K project
– Black Butler (mangaverse or anime. I know both)
– Voltron
– Hamatora
– Bioshock (I’ve played everything but Minerva’s Den. But I will watch a walkthrough if need be.)
– Final Fantasy XV
I will write just about any ship, so long as I can see any shred of connection between the characters. The only ships I will deny are ones that go against my rules below. I will also do crossovers of any of the above fandoms, or AU scenarios! Unlike my drawing section, I am also willing to write poly ships, such as roadtrip shipping for FFXV. For starting at $25, I will draw you a picture! My current setup is a Microsoft Surface running Clip Studio. I will do lineart and flat color for this price. Donate more and we can negotiate something better. My art skill is not as fine-tuned as my writing, so the average drawing can take upwards of six to ten hours. I will put my everything into making it what you want.
